ESEE Knives took the popular ESEE-3, added 3/8" of handle length, a glass-breaking pommel, larger handle screws, then differentially heat-treated the 1095 carbon steel and dressed up the Micarta slabs to build the ESEE-3 survival knife. The ESEE-3MIL was previously available to law enforcement and military only. During that time it became the official knife of numerous law enforcement groups and special teams. It is now available to the general public.
